Cycles:
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

they come and go
up and down
high and low
birth and death
creation and destruction
start and stop
in the same cycles
and cycles within cycles
you can't stop them...

just like you can't stop water flowing
or wind blowing
or the earth spinning

you can learn about them
you can build upon them
you can avoid their impact
you can fear them
you can appreciate their beauty
you can try to conquer them
you can feel their impact
you can predict them coming
you can honour them
you can hate them

but you can't stop them from flowing
or evolving on their own
with or without you
because they are part of you
always
as they are part of everything

Silence:
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

what if i were silent for a day?

if i listened and spoke of nothing...

would i have a glimpse

into what i might be missing

in the midst of everything?

Expectations:
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

do we expect of others what we expect of ourselves?
it only seems natural...

do we give to others what we give to ourselves?
What if we do not nurture ourselves enough -
Does it then become selfish to be generous?

why does it feel so bad to let people down
especially those who had high hopes of us
and who helped us to have high hopes in ourselves?

perhaps that's why...

hope

we are afraid to lose it
becuase it is our life line...for our spirit

and hope comes with expectations

so is it better to have expectations that are high
and risk being let down?

or better to set the bar low - and surpass it?

if a low bar - then why bother?

does true satisfaction not come from the pursuit
of something bigger than what we know for sure
that we are capable of?

perhaps not for all...

so how do we manage expectations...
and not lose our sense of hope in the process?

...perhaps the wrong question?

how do we better communicate our common intentions
So that we can work together in achieving them
And support each other when we feel overwhelmed by them

Choices:
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

in life we have choices
and all choices have consequences
and when things don't turn out
it's hard...

because in many ways
it's the result of our own choice

it's also hard
because in life there are also many things
- so many things -
that are out of our control

so how do we come to terms with what we accept
as our own doing...
or matters of circumstance?
