Jen's Journal

a big hug goes a long way!

this is will :)

he is a brilliant child that i met at the Human Issues conference in Silver Bay. He overhead someone say my name as I sat down for dinner and moments later, he said 'jennifer? do you want a chip?'

it was soo sweet! he came across the table to share his chips with me and i was fully impressed.

will is special. he's got great powers - you can tell just by looking at his eyes.

There was another kid that I met at the Human Issues conference who was about 8 years old. his name was David. We hung out by the fire and raced across an acre of grass!

i'm not sure why, but i notice that i am intuitively drawn to children. i love to play, laugh, dance and draw with them. it's a wonderful thing, to be trusted and loved by a child. this picture is a great reminder of that feeling of fulfillment and awe!

thanks for the hug :)

Maybe you keep yourself so busy you don't get to do those things yourself, but kids do, so in a way there's kid-envy? josie_h j

it's because there is a purity of spirit, and a sense of hope and purpose in children. Children can spot aggression or fake a mile off..... and *Never* underestimate your capacity for absolute strength until you are protecting a child you love.. Making the world better is our legacy and obligation to the next generation.... indeed it is part of our immortality. Jarra Jarra McGrath

I think it is just that most children haven't learnt to be 'good' human beings yet...

They are free...

I feel them strongly... you know what I think anyway...

I'm going to Wonderland tomorrow... with some cute little kids... and a special big one...

I'm equally excited about being with both.

Haven't you ever noticed that Jen is very strange...

Strange is good.

Strange is beautiful.

Lose the 'humanity'... We'll all be better for it... scinadr Susan

maybe children provide that innocence we lack...because we have seen hate, crime, rejection, poverty, war, etc. Children provide a portal to the free thinking, the unlimited...they see only good and understand smiling and laughing are easier than sadness and frowning. Cheerish that smile, embrace his hug...
